Getting Ready For KC
This is it…the final stretch! Just over a week before our move to the mid-west. Thanks to the Yaps, we get up-to-date/real-time updates of our house being built. Here is the latest picture. Formal dining room on the left, garage on the right, you can see the stairs to the not yet framed 2nd floor through the front door. This house is being built FAST. It took our builder months to get financing to build in this economy. No one is building, no one is financing. But once he got the money he needed, and because no one is building…now EVERYONE is building, our home! All this has been done in just over three weeks! What you don’t see here, is the laid foundations and basement that had to be done before the first floor got framed.

Now…onto moving. We’ve moved before, from apartment to apartment to condo to condo…but this is a whole new ballgame. We’ve been married 11 years, and have amassed a huge collection of STUFF. Boxing that STUFF up, and then getting movers to truck all that STUFF 1/2 way across the country, and getting auto-freight to truck our 2 cars to Missouri, wow!…it’s expensive! And then there are the plane tickets! So…in an effort to cut moving costs…
