Happy Independence Day!!!
Aware of Noah’s fascination with trains, Timmy and Benny got Noah a train-shaped sandwich cutter. Here is our first go at a ham and cheese train shaped sandwich.

For the past couple of years, the kids have been saving up for a piano. Every time they get New Year’s or Birthday money, they stash a portion of it away to go towards “the piano” fund. We have enough for a decent keyboard now…but can’t decide, keyboard now, or piano later? Rebekah couldn’t wait…and so did what she could with a box, a stool, and a toy. Pretty resourceful! Not seen here…Bekah also set up a bunch of chairs for us to listen to her recital!

What are the kids lounging around outside for?

to watch fireworks! EVERY single evening, for the past 4 or 5 days?…our neighborhood has sounded like a war zone. I had no idea July 4th would be this BIG of a deal! They have temporary fireworks stores set up in parking lots everywhere, like they do in some parts of LA. But over here, they aren’t those little shacks…these are huge tents that you enter, pick up a basket, and browse through the aisles and various sections! It’s supposed to be NUTS tonight…but we’ll see how the weather (weather forecast says scattered thunder storms) treats us. Either way, we have a classic hamburger/hot dog BBQ planned with the Yap’s and Young’s. Happy Independence Day!!!
